This portfolio distinguishes projects financed directly through European Union programs from projects awarded and managed by Spanish national or regional institutions. Some Spanish projects also receive European co-financing through FEDER, NextGenerationEU, or related funding instruments.

A continuous technology trajectory

From machine translation data to multilingual AI, model alignment, semantic infrastructure, and sovereign systems

Pangeanic began by collecting, aligning, and cleaning very large bilingual corpora for machine translation. That work created the data engineering capabilities required to build dependable multilingual models.

Later projects expanded this foundation into neural translation, translation memory infrastructure, anonymization, speech data, cultural heritage AI, enterprise knowledge assistants, semantic data spaces, and controlled deployment.

The common thread is operational continuity. Research should produce datasets, software, evaluation methods, or infrastructure that remain useful after the funded action has ended.
